Professor Remi Sonaiya KOWA Party gubernatorial candidate in 2015 election has advise women to brace up and believe in the world of possibilities.

Sonaiya in her a Keynote Address at the 2017 edition of Raising Girls Ambition RAGA held at international conference centre lead City University in Ibadan said women should choose to live and believe in the world of possibilities.

She said ladies should always challenge frame of mind and barriers that are ahead of them through determination and handwork. ‘ what you aim may not be realize in your lifetime but focus on the essence and keep moving.
‘Nations where women participate in government tends to be more stable and developed  ‘Rwanda. A country that was ravaged by horrible genocidal war is back on its feet currently women occupies more than 50 percent of the parliament and the country is enjoying relative stability’

Women bring skills more that men brings to the table in government because they focus is on the economic. Market education and health making provision for facilities that will stabilize the society than men who always places infrastructural development as a priority

Sonaiya who noted that the trend of relegating women in some part of  Africa is a tradition said   Women role should not be limited to the other room and kitchen, they should be given active role to play and allows their voice to be heard loud and clear.

Speaking on why she choose to pursue her presidential dream under the platform of Labour Party, the professor of French and English Language said ‘ I choose the party that I will join very carefully I knew KOWA was a small party but I wanted a party where my voice will carry more weight like every other person .

 

‘ I did not join APC or PDP because they have their Baba who determine what happened because I will talk and I don’t want a situation where I would be knock out because I spoke against injustice and unfair treatment

‘The fact that I did not get their t the first attempt doesn’t mean I cannot be there . even the current president got there at the attempt number 4 getting into position is not in my power it is in the hands of Nigerian and I cannot control them what it is my power is to run .

 

‘I did not no fail the objective was to run and I ran in the best possible way that I could given my limitation and the amount of money that was made available to me. My business is the goal that was set for myself . been truth to the objective that you set for itself .’
