The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, will on monday 8th January launch the online portal for passport applications.
This announcement was made following a demonstration session of the online portal last Friday with the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Caroline Adepoju.

In December, the minister unveiled the Federal Government’s commitment to achieving a fully automated passport application system in the country.
At that time, the minister cited that the automated application system was “99 per cent done,” emphasizing that the process would involve uploading passport photos and supporting documents.
He outlined the costs for Nigerian applicants: N25,000 for 32-page passports with a five-year validity and N70,000 for 64-page passports valid for 10 years.
On the other hand, foreign applicants interested in 32-page passports valid for five years will pay $130, while those opting for 64-page passports with a validity period of 10 years will pay $230. All candidates are required to submit their applications at
