Speaking during the presentation, Chief Executive Officer and President of American Focus & ihope care center

Mr Micheal Orobiyi described the gesture as a reflection of shared humanity and a collective responsibility to care for vulnerable members of society.

He noted that the initiative was driven by the vision and commitment of the founder, Mr. Michael Adegbola, alongside the support of Nike Orobiyi and Kayode Roges, Nigeria’s Coordinator, all of whom remain dedicated to advancing inclusion and humanitarian support for persons with disabilities.

Orobiyi commended the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities for its openness to partnerships, particularly acknowledging the leadership of its Director-General, Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi, for his commitment to inclusive development across the state.

He stressed that caring for persons with disabilities should not be left to government alone, urging individuals and organisations to contribute meaningfully to improving their wellbeing.

“This donation is a modest contribution towards enhancing the comfort of the residents, while reaffirming our belief that every child, regardless of limitations, deserves love, opportunity, and hope,” he said.

The center also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its partnership with the agency in areas such as inclusion, empowerment, vocational training, education, and social integration.

Encouraging the children and residents of the facility, Orobiyi urged them to remain focused on their training and personal development, noting that their abilities surpass their limitations.

The event also witnessed the presence of the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, Hon. Olufemi Timothy, alongside the Director-General of the agency, Barrister Adekanmbi.

Orobiyi further appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for his administration’s inclusive policies and continued attention to the welfare of persons with disabilities in Oyo State.
