The Mogajis (family heads) of Ibadan have expressed their profound gratitude to Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, for organizing a grand reception in honour of the coronation of Olakulehin as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Speaking on behalf of the other Mogajis and Baales (village heads), Mogaji Abass Oloko and Mogaji Olasomi Oladusu Demola Elepo commended Sanusi for his selfless efforts in ensuring the success of the coronation ceremony.
The duo equally commended the Oyo State Government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde for organizing a befitting coronation for Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
“We the Mogajis and Baales of Ibadan appreciate the exemplary leadership and generosity demonstrated by Jubril Dotun Sanusi. He single-handedly financed the entire reception without any contributions from us, contrary to the speculations of a few individuals,” said Mogaji Oloko.”
The Mogajis also used the opportunity to urge Chief Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, the President of the Jericho Businessmen Club and the Aare-Onibon Balogun of Ibadanland, to embrace peace and unity.
They expressed confidence that Olakul’s reign will usher in a new era of prosperity and progress for the people of Ibadan.
“We are optimistic that under the leadership of Olakulehin, Ibadan will witness remarkable development and continue to thrive as the cultural heartbeat of the Yoruba people,” added Mogaji Elepo.
The grand reception organized by Jubril Dotun Sanusi was a testament to the strong bond between the traditional rulers and the people of Ibadan, as they come together to celebrate the coronation of their esteemed monarch.
