.In a bid to enhance economic opportunities for his constituents, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao-Akala, the lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency, has facilitated a two-day skill acquisition and empowerment program targeting women and youth in the region.
The training, organized in collaboration with the National Productivity Centre, focused on enterprise skills and sustainable agricultural trades.
The capacity-building initiative provided participants with practical training in areas such as solar panel installation, tool handling, electrical wiring, and essential safety protocols.
Upon completion, each participant received a start-up package, including solar installation toolkits, grinding machines, and a cash grant of N50,000 to help kickstart their businesses.
“This impactful program aligns with my commitment to the training, empowerment, and capacity-building of the good people of Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency,” Hon. Alao-Akala stated.
Several beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Hon. Alao-Akala, praising his consistent efforts to support youth and women in the constituency. They also lauded his various community intervention projects, which include the construction of several blocks of classrooms, distribution of farm inputs to local farmers, financial support, free medical outreach, and other initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of his constituents.
