Princess Aderonke Rahmat Adedoja, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the seat of Oluyole federal constituency in the National Assembly on Sunday appealed to leaders of the party in Oyo state to work together in unity.
Princess Adedoja (a.k.a. ARA 2019) made this appeal while speaking with journalists shortly after inspecting the PDP secretariat in Oluyole Local Government Area, which she renovated for the political party.
The female politician maintained that the Oyo PDP executives recently harmonized by the national leadership of party should not cause any rancour among party leaders in the state.
The PDP aspirant maintained further that what should be the focus of party leaders in the state is how the party would win the next year’s general elections, as the people of the state are already tired of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Earlier at their meeting, PDP leaders in Oluyole Local Government Area, including the Chairman, Alhaji Mukaila Adegbola, and Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Olaniyan, commended Princess Adedoja for renovating the party Secretariat.
Speaking on the need for PDP leaders in the state to work together, the Federal House of Representatives aspirant said the interest of the political party should be placed above personal interest in the bid to rescue the people of the state from APC’s misrule.
She insisted that PDP is now the best alternative available for Oyo people, adding that the controversy generated by the harmonization of executives should be put behind so that preparations for the 2019 polls can begin.
