While misinformation is false information that is created and spread regardless of an intent to harm or deceive, disinformation is a type of misinformation that is created to be deliberately deceptive. Both forms may be shared widely, regardless of whether or not the sharer knows the information is wrong.

Suffice to say at this juncture that it is only trite to set the records straight regarding the treatment of Ibarapaland by the current Oyo State Government, ably led by His Excellency, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde (FNSE).

To mention a few, below are some of the GSM administration’s efforts in Ibarapa:

Security:
1.)        Organisation of stakeholders’ town hall meeting to guage the feelings of residents. The governor slept in Ibarapa at the height of the security challenge.
2.)        Massive deployment of Amotekun Corps and Operation Burst to Igangan and other critical areas of Ibarapa Zone
3.)        Massive support to security agencies in Ibarapa in order to stem the tide of insecurity, including provision of Pick-up Vans and equipment.
