The Coalition of Civil Society Groups against Terrorism in Nigeria has lauded the recently launched Next Level Presidential roadmap of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress APC, describing it as a guarantee for sustainable development of the country.

Briefing journalist after an expanded meeting of the group in Lagos today, Convener of the Coalition Comrade Odeyemi Oladimeji said giving the gains of the Buhari’s administration, Nigerians have come to appreciate where we are now and how much progress we have made as a nation in the last three and a half years, and are surely resolute to give the needed support, towards actualizing the second term for the President.

The group also reacted to a demand, by the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, who during a visit to President Buhari in Abuja last week, demanded the sack of the nation’s Service Chiefs.

The coalition said CAN should endeavor to detach itself from politically motivated statements as such, because such call, as made by CAN, has the incentive to divert attention from practical solutions to the security situation in the country.

The group said rather than demanding the sack of the service chiefs, who it said have continued to give their best in ensuring that the territorial integrity and internal security of the country, remain uncompromised, CAN should work with government and other stakeholders, towards improving the nation’s security situation, rather than demanding actions that can demoralize the hardworking men of the Armed Forces.
