The honour was part of the Great 100 Nurses Celebration of Georgia, an annual recognition programme that celebrates exceptional registered nurses who have distinguished themselves through professional excellence, compassionate service and leadership.

The inaugural celebration was held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Cobb Convention Center, Atlanta, Georgia, bringing together registered nurses, nurse executives, hospital administrators, physicians, community leaders, families and friends of the honourees.

The Great 100 Nurses Foundation annually recognises 100 outstanding nurses for their concern for humanity, dedication to the profession and commitment to mentoring younger professionals.

Oyelade’s recognition places her among distinguished nursing professionals celebrated for making meaningful contributions to healthcare and improving lives through service.

The event also featured renowned nurse, CEO, innovator and international leader, Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN, as the keynote speaker.

The Great 100 Nurses Foundation, which has honoured thousands of nurses across several states over the years, continues to promote nursing excellence while supporting advocacy, scholarships and research aimed at advancing the profession.
