Governor Simon Bako Lalong has directed the postponement of the inauguration of his Campaign Council earlier scheduled to hold on 23rd November 2022 as a mark of respect for a membet of Plateau House of Assembly Hon. Eric Dakogol who died on monday
He also directed the suspension of other official functions earlier slated for Wednesday 23rd November 2022.

Lalong who is APC Candidate for the Plateau South Senatorial District says the postponement is to honour the late Member who represents one of the State Constituencies within the Plateau South Senatorial District.

Director of Press and Public Affairs in a statement said the inauguration of the Senatorial Campaign Council will now take place on Thursday 24th November 2022 in Shendam, the Headquarters of the Zone.
While commiserating with the family and constituents of the deceased who was a committed member of the APC, the Governor urges members of the party to bear the inconveniences this postponement might cause.
Simon Lalong, said the late legislator was selfless and committed to the welfare of his constituents.
“The death of the lawmaker was a huge loss to his immediate family and the state at large State. He was a true democrat and representative of his people.
“Hon. Eric was selfless and committed to addressing challenges of his constituents both within and outside the Chambers of the House of Assembly and always sponsored and supported legislations that had a direct impact on the lives of the citizens,” Mr Lalong said.
