The prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who were abducted in Imo State and later rescued have reunited with their families in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The freed victims arrived in Ibadan at about 6 p.m. on Thursday and were taken to the office of the Department of State Services (DSS), where their relatives were already waiting to receive them.
A few minutes after their arrival, the relatives were called upon to take custody of their children following the reunion.
The families subsequently departed with the freed prospective corps members, bringing relief and joy to their loved ones after days of anxiety over their abduction.
The prospective corps members were among those abducted on October 1, 2026, while travelling through Imo State. They were rescued on Wednesday, October 7, following a coordinated operation by the police and other security agencies.
