Federation of Ogbomoso Student Union National Council at the weekend Honoured Hon Akinwale Akinwole Popularly known as Wolekanle with a award of excellence
The award was in recognition of his contributions to the socio- economic development of ogbomoso and its environs
.Apart from Financial support to indegent students, Wolekanle has also been consistently sponsoring UTME Form and coaching for students seeking admission into tertiary institutions.
Presenting the award, the immediate past president the association, Comrade Gbadegesin Ayobami said the award is recognition of his outstanding performances and contributions towards the progress of association and ogbomoso at large
” You have been a very strong pillar of support to many many youths and students in Ogbomoso and beyond wity your philanthropical gesture and exemplary lifestyle and that is why we consider you for this presitgious award during our tenure.
“We identify with your vision and dream and we are hopeful that you will do more to support the youths and students in Ogbomoso and its environs
In his response, Hon Akinwale thanms the students for considering him for an award and promise to continue to support anything that will boost the image of the students body
He said ‘ I am passionate about the youth and students this i have been doing long before i venture into politics and i can assuee you that i will continue to do more to help the students nad youths
” He said further that Wolekanle Foundation will collaborate with FOSGu and other student body in promoting, enlightening and ensuring adequate support for younger generations
