Founder of One Love Family, SatGuru Marahaj Ji has advised theFederal government of Nigeria to increase the monthly allowances of Youth Corps to N50, 000 ( Fifty Thousand Naira).
Marahaj Ji also called for improved welfare for security operatives including Police, Army, DSS and others for efficiency in their defense against terrorism and combating crime in the Nation.
He made this appeal at a media parley held at Holy Land ,Marahaj Ji village in Ibadan on Wednesda
The spiritual leader noted that the meager monthly allowances for youths undergoing compulsory National Youth Service corps is meager compare to what they need to prepare themselves for life after school. Adding that the minimum should be N50,000 Naira .
“They should not be made to teach alone , but learn language and culture of where they were posted to, this will further unity and peaceful coexistence in the nation.
He said further that the efforts of the Federal government to combat crime especially Boko Haram sects and other group terrorizing the nation may not yield expected result if the welfare package of the security operatives is not review with the purpose of increasing their salaries and other remunerations ‘
The advocate of state police said ‘ we don’t have enough security in this country, but the ones we have should be properly catered for so that they will be efficient , if the police are well remunerated , their will be discipline and they won’t be extorting money from motorists”.
Speaking on the president Buhari’s anti corruption fight, Marahaj Ji said the president is the only leader that is taking the anti corruption fight seriously but he need to be more firm in his decision to wipe out corruption from the country ,” He should investigate and remove any member of his cabinet found guilty of corruption.”
Nigerians should ask both the past and present Federal lawmakers about how they spend constituency allowances, any of them that cannot account for it should not be supported for any elective or appointed into any position again. He said
