Federal Polytechnic Ayede Holds Third Matriculation Ceremony Thursday

The Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo state has announced that it will hold the 2024/2025 matriculation ceremony on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

The milestone, according to the Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, in a statement by the institution’s Protocols and Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday Adepoju, will hold at the institution’s temporary site in Iresa-Pupa, Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State starting 9:00a.m.

The statement stated that procession starts at 9:00 a.m. while the event starts at 10:00 a.m.

The institution, founded in 2021 along five others during former President Muhammed Buhari administration, admitted its pioneer students for the 2022/2023 academic session into four Departments: Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Statistics.

Last year, eight more National Diploma (ND) programmes were added, making 12 ND programmes in Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Agricultural Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Tourism Management Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Urban and Regional Planning, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management as well as Public Administration.

The 12 ND programmes are located in five Schools of Agricultural Technology, Science and Technology, Engineering Technology, Environment Technology and Management Sciences.

The statement also added that freshers’ orientation ceremonies commenced on Tuesday, March 25, and continues on Wednesday, March 26, at the Iresa-Pupa temporary site of the institution, where eminent scholars and professionals are expected to address the students.

Since its establishment, the institution has been making remarkable progress in the areas of academic excellence, infrastructure development, training and re-training, sports, among others.
