A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State and Baagbile of Egbaland,  Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, has predicted a  landslide victory for President Muhammadu Buhari, in the presidential election scheduled for Saturday.
He made the prediction at the weekend while speaking with journalists on the state of affairs in the country.
He said most Nigerians want the ruling APC to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to them, stating that the victory of Mr. President would be across all the six zones because the love for him is all over the country.
According to him, President Buhari  would win convincingly in his stronghold of North West,  North East and South West while he would also perform better than he did in 2015 in South South and South East where he would garner over 25 per cent in all the states and win convincingly in at least four of the states in the two zones.
He maintained that the second term of the President would benefit the South West which is strongly behind him, noting that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who is from the zone and whose disposition and performance have been acknowledged all over the country, would continue to complement President Buhari to take the country to the next level.
Majekodunmi who insisted that the victory of President Buhari is certain as the rising of the sun in spite of the arrays of endorsement by those he described as factional socio-cultural groups, stated that the country cannot afford not to reelect him so as not to  toy with the lives of present Nigerians and future generations by electing those who do not mean well for the country.
When reminded of the support of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for his former deputy and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Majekodunmi while describing the former President as a renowned elder and world statesman, he pointed out that his strong  vilification in the past of Atiku cannot be changed overnight, noting that the PDP candidate is only strong in two zones  and thus is no match for President Buhari.
“Former President Obasanjo has seen it all in this country and beyond and has contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria, however his opinion concerning the presidential election cannot stand but rather be a plus for the President”, he said.
While speaking on the  situation in Ogun State, Majekodunmi said APC is fully in charge in the state and would go into the election united, stating that Governor Ibikunle Amosun is still in the party and his purported second party   cannot fly as the people of the state and members of the party would vote for the APC- ALL THE WAY.
He added that the victory of President Buhari would rub on the other APC candidates in the state most especially the governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, stating that the state is fully for the APC as it cannot afford to concede to the opposition.
He said, “The coming election is a foregone conclusion for APC in the state, from the presidential, National Assembly, governorship to House of Assembly, the party would win everything. Indeed, it would be APC all the way with all the other parties winning little or nothing.”
