Another disturbing video circulating on social media has revealed that one of the teachers of community  high school Esiele Mr Oyedoku M A abducted during the Esiele abduction saga has been killed by the kidnappers.

The horrifying video reportedly showed the victim’s face   before displaying his mutilated body, further heightening fear and tension within the affected communities.

In another development, one of the residents who joined the local rescue team disclosed that efforts to confront the abductors inside the forest were unsuccessful after the group came under heavy gunfire.

According to the resident, the kidnappers were heavily armed with sophisticated weapons and opened fire immediately they sighted members of the rescue team.

“Some of us abandoned our motorcycles and ran for our lives. The soldiers later returned to engage them, but one member of the rescue team sustained injuries during the gun battle,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Principal of Community Grammar School, Esiele, Mrs. Alamu, alongside a teacher at the primary school in Yawota, in a video released yesterday, passionately appealed to the government and security agencies to rescue them from captivity.

The victims, who appeared distressed in the video, pleaded for urgent intervention as anxiety continues to grow among residents and relatives of those abducted.
Residents said the incident has further deepened fear in the area as families continue to await the safe return of those still in captivity.

It would be recalled that the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdulraheem Bayo Lawal, visited the affected communities on Sunday to commiserate with families of the victims and assure them of the government’s support for ongoing security operations aimed at rescuing the abductees.
