Engr. Open Salawu Bags BCOS Meritorious Award

Engineer Mufutau Open Salawu, the Babalaje of Ogbomoso land has been awarded for his meritorious service to humanity by the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).

He was awarded alongside 11 others in the Service to Humanity Award category of the award ceremony on Thursday, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

While speaking shortly after receiving the award, the Waziri Jari Nupe promised to double his service to humanity which was what the organizers of the award saw in him.

He said he hardly receive award because he doesn’t beg for award from people and doesn’t receive award from anyhow person or organization.

He added that he has been giving back to humanity even before venturing into politics adding that he will continue doing it.

“I thank you for honoring me with this award. I feel like I should add one more digit to the digit I early promised. I hardly receive award because I don’t beg for award. Infact, I don’t take award from anyhow person or organization without a purpose. So I must thank you once again for this award.

“I will like to state that I will double my service to humanity and I will continue to give back to the society.” He said.

Other awardees in his category included Mr Dotun Adekile, Dr. Samson Adegoke (Megida), Ambassador Romake Ayinde (KayRom Lee Ventures), Juergen Peschet MD/CEO 9MOBILE, Mr. Karl Toriola, CEO MTN Nigeria Communications Limited, Revd Father Mathew Kukah, Otunba Segun Runsewe, Evangelist Ajibola Ogunkayede (Ufitfly), Prof, Olawale Albert and IITA Ibadan.

Earlier, Open Salawu also launched a book by the corporation.
