The Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Biodun Oyebanji, has resigned his appointment from the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
His decision followed the directive by Governor Fayemi that any of his appointees with governorship ambition should resign from his cabinet.
Oyebanji’s resignation was conveyed in a letter to the governor, dated December 3, 2021, taking effect from Tuesday, December 7.
He attributed his decision to resign to his desire to contest the 2022 governorship election in the state.
Governor Fayemi in accepting Oyebanji’s resignation, thanked the former SSG for his remarkable contribution to the administration since inception in 2018 and wished him well in his future endeavours.
