Also the  Ekiti state house of Assembly has repealed the Ekiti state official slogan of 2014 and re-enacted the official slogan of 2011.

The amendment to the bill sponsored by the Ekiti state government scaled through the first, second and third reading and implies that the state would now be addressed as the land of Honour and no longer as Fountain of Knowledge.

In the debate at the second reading, leader of the House, Hon Gboyega Aribisogan, Hon. Wale Ayeni aligned with the motion saying that Ekitis around the world were people of Honour and integrity.

Howbeit, Hon Fajana Ojo Ade and Hon. Anifowoshe Badejo who also agreed to the change of slogans raised concerns about the frequent changes which would attract certain costs.
