Ekiti State Association of Professional Artists (ESAPA) has presented a proposal to carry out aesthetic design to promote cultural heritage and creative arts in the state.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The association, led by its state chairman, Comrade Jacob Ayodele, disclosed this during a visit to the office of the Director- General, Council for Arts and culture Ekiti State, Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre at the government secretariat , Ado Ekiti on yesterday.

 

 

 

Mr Ayodele said that ,the association was ready to collabor ate with the state government in developing Ekiti arts and crafts for mutual benefits ,glory of the state and beauty of the landscape

 

 

 

“As a stakeholder in the state, we believe there is a need for us to work with the government to beautify the state and showcase Ekiti arts to the world.We understand that our governor is a man who loves and promotes arts; his disposition toward arts  is commendable and we appreciate that ”

 

 

 

In his response, Ambassador Ojo-Lanre said the aesthetic design and another concept in the proposal are welcome ideas that would attract government attention.

He promised to rely their message to Governor Kayode Fayemi who he described as a hush  art collector and an avid  heritage protector.

 

 

Ambassador Ojo- Lanre  said that “This is your council, this is your state, you should do everything humanly possible to take Ekiti arts to a greater height. The government is ready to collaborate and showcase your work to the world.

He said that “Already we are working to establish an art and craft village where most of you can interrogate and challenge your power of creativity in an artistic ambience ”

 

 

He commended  the Association for its proactive posturings and hand of fellowship extended to the Council since his resumption  as the Director – General Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture
