Oyo State Police command has  assure the public of adequate security before, during and after the forthcoming Sallah.

In press statement issued and signed by the state Police Public Relation Officer SP Adekunle Ajisebutu to the journalists. the Commissioner of Police has directed massive deployment of special outfits such as the Special Anti-Robbery Sqaud, the Counter-Terrorism Unit, Swift Response Sqaud, the Explosive Ordinance Department, Safer Highway, Police Mobile Force, Highway Patrol and Similar outfits to carry out visibility Policing in form of intensive stop and search as well as purposeful vehicle Patrol of every nook and cranny of the state.

‘The security arrangements will also include adequate security coverage of praying grounds, recreation centres, financial institutions, public facilities and other vulnerable places across the state. This is to ensure a hitch free Ed-El-Kabir celebration for all the Muslim faithful and others in the state’.

‘While Command braces up for this challenge, criminals and other anti-Social elements are stenly warned to leave the State or risk being arrested and Prosecuted. Similarly, hoodlums and other agents of destabilization who may be nurturing sinister plans to cause breakdown of law and order are warned to desist from such evil plans in their own interest.’
