Engineer Jubrill Dotun Sanusi has described the self actualization group of people identified as OODUA NATION AGITATORS” that invaded Oyo State Government Secretariat as confused elements who have no idea of what it takes to secure a nation.
A group of agitators aiming to actualize the establishment of “OODUA REPUBLIC were on Saturday morning arrested by security operatives while invading Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
Sanusi, the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts while condemning the act maintained that both internal and external actors behind the invasion should be arrested and properly prosecuted.
In a statement made available to the media on Sunday, the Mogaji Mogaji Ile Olugbade, Oja’ba, Ibadan, said “Just last year they failed in their attempt to hijack a radio station and announced Oodua republic and yesterday again, they invaded government secretariat to hoist their flag and carry out operations as Odua Republic as directed by their commander and financier.
The business mogul who also expressed his dissatisfaction with the gullibility and audacity of the invaders said they may have been indoctrinated with the radicalized ideology that makes them believe daring the state security apparatus to launch their aim will yield positive results.
Jubril Dotun Sanusi commended the security agents for apprehending the culprits and urged them not to handle the matter with kids’ glove
He also urged all the Yoruba militia groups including the OPC, Agbekoya, and others to always enlighten their members on the dangers of taking such steps as well as the need to foster unity and promote peace in Yorubaland and the Nation at large.
