Dagona Birds Sanctuary is one of tourists attraction in Nigeria

Every year, thousands of birds come from Europe and other continents do fly down to spend winter season in Yobe state ? .

Located in Dagona village of Bade local government area, this sanctuary is where birds of different species from Europe and other continents of the world come to roost during winter.

The lake is used as a seasonal stop-over habitat by thousands of exotic birds migrating during the winter from Europe, Americas and Asia.

Several distinguished personalities around the world have visited the sanctuary, including Prince Bernhard of Netherlands in 1987, Prince Philips in 1989, Prince Charles and Princess Diana in 1990.

It is one of the tourist spots in Nigeria.
