Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has debunked the news spreading round about the new lockdown from the federal government
It was reported in the media yesterday that the Governmt imposes 8pm -4 am
curfew
The directive according to the report was supposed to take effect by midnight of Tuesday.
The report added that bars and nightclubs should remain closed and the nationwide curfew will be in force and access to government institutions would also be denied to anyone not wearing a face mask while government meetings and travels have been limited to the virtual platform.
Dr Sani Aliyu, National Cordinator on Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in a video said the information going round is absolutely not true and urge the public to ignore the message and continue with their moral activities
He added that the public should continue to abide by the guidelines on COVID-19 such as wearing of face masks, washing in hands and others
