Professor Raphael Afonja, one of recently confirmed commissioner nominees in Oyo state has suggested that any contractor that failed to complete works taken from government for public use should be prosecuted.

The United State trained Civil Engineer in an interview with National Insight said “The money paid to them should also be recovered from them while those with shoddy jobs be made to come back and do quality Jobs without additional cost.

Afonja maintained that the amount of money being paid for road construction is enough to do quality jobs that will last for decades.

He said the government of Engineer Seyi Makinde will embark on massive construction of roads in the rural areas to enhance agriculture, food security and economy in the state.
