The Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Tor Uja has disclosed the cost of this year’s pilgrimage to Israel, Greece and Rome. He made the disclosure in Abuja while playing host to the Chairmen Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) from all the States of the Federation, including FCT.

In the words of the NCPC boss, “because of the CBN exchange rate the cost of pilgrimage for this year’s October-December pilgrimage to Israel is ₦667,000while Israel – Greece or Israel – Rome is ₦887,000.

Thus he informed that the Commission intends to run pilgrimage for church leaders next year. According to Rev. Uja, “I believe that the church of Christ is strong enough to run pilgrimage”.

He stated that PFN is a major stakeholder for the pilgrimage the Commission has designed.

Rev. Uja therefore invited them to set up pilgrimage Committees in their various churches to activate members to embrace the opportunities Christian pilgrimage provides.

He further affirmed; “we have chosen that pilgrimage must do something different for Nigeria”. He explained that pilgrimage should be able to open a door for leadership and development and also give an opportunity to impact on the host nation among other benefits.

Rev. Uja further stated that “Nigeria has the biggest army of spiritual leaders and they are all men of global consequence”. To this end, he stressed, “I believe God is opening a window for the Nigerian church to take back the lost ones”. He stated that under God all forces that stood against Nigeria would be defeated.

According to him; “I believe that the Pentecostal Ministry is one of the inventions of God this last days”. He therefore posited that being a proper instrument in the hands of God attracts a lot of challenges.

The NCPC boss commended President Muhammadu Buhari for entrusting his deputy, the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to hold forth the affairs of the country on his behalf these 60 days or more. He further commended the Acting President for having the capacity to steer the ship of state so far.

Earlier the Chairman of all the Chairmen of States Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Apostle Zilly Aggrey affirmed that the Pentecostals believe in pilgrimage because of the tremendous amount of blessing that is associated to it.

He stated that Israel is a covenant nation and thus any nation that is against Israel would crumble. He further explained that “pilgrimage is one of the means that we key into the covenant blessings of Israel”.

He appealed to all well meaning Christians to sponsor people on pilgrimage and be blessed.

Apostle Aggrey stated that they were in NCPC to meet with their own, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Tor Uja and congratulate him on his well deserved appointment.
