The urgency with which this writer aims at the reconstruction of Takie Square Roundabout and Ogbomoso Federal Road Infrastructure, cannot be overstated. There is need for President Bola Ahmed Tinúbú and his Minister for Works and Road Construction and related matters to do the needful.

Frankly, I am compelled to urgently draw the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinúbú to the deplorable condition of the “Trunk A” federal road infrastructure in Ogbomoso axis of Oyo State. Specifically, l write on behalf of good people of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, and Nigeria in general; most importantly, the plyers of the only road that links and provides easy transportation accessibility between the South and Northern Nigeria for immediate intervention, and to make a result-oriented directive to the management of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) to address the following critical issues:

1. The connective road that stretches from Takie Square Roundabout, to the facade of Bowen Hospital and extending to Total Filling Station in the Caretaker Area, is in an extremely poor state.

2. The current condition is causing severe traffic congestion and poses a significant danger to commuters.

3. In addition to the above, l also implore the Federal Government for immediate approval of construction of a Flyover Bridge at Takie Junction as a critical point of intersection that frequently experiences heavy traffic logjams and fatal accidents, with casualties

Significantly, as a concerned and patriotic Nigerian, I earnestly and passionately write this article for an urgent action and demand for comprehensive reconstruction of this road segments.

To ease transportation and prevent further carnage, I am using this medium to entreat, appeal and strongly advocate for the construction of a flyover bridge at this junction.

Furthermore, l also implore the government to direct the contractor responsible for the new Ogbomoso-Oyo-Ibadan Express Way to expedite action on the completion of the remaining section of the road. The unfinished stretch from Oolo town to the Federal Government College Ogbomoso, which connects Ogbomoso-Ilorin Expressway. This is vital for improved connectivity and assured safety of road users.

Moreover, the current state of these roads, in all honesty, is not only disheartening, but disrupts daily activities and hampers economic growth and development. Therefore, thej immediate intervention is necessary to prevent further deterioration and to provide a safer, more efficient transportation network for the citizens of Ogbomoso, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

I have absolute trust that under your leadership, these critical infrastructure projects will be prioritized and completed without further delay, and to guide against the unnecessary and avoidable road carnage.

Finally, l want to use this medium to appeal to the Federal Government not to abandon the old federal road in question, because of the new expressway, it should, instead, carry out its comprehensive reconstruction of the old road from Ogbomoso to Oyo and lbadan – the capital city and leave it as an alternative road for the unwilling plyers of yet to be completed new expressway.
