As part of the activities marking the 100 days in office of Oyo State government under the leadership of Governor Makinde, the acting Chairman of the Traditional Council in Saki West and High Chief Bagii of Sakiland, Abdur Rasheed Ghazaal Adegokeh, Adekilutoro 1 has lauded the Governor for his landmark achievements within the short period, describing his magnanimity in office as very commendable.
The High Chief points out his undertakings during his first 100 days including the security apparatus put in place, prompt payment of workers’ salaries and pensions to both serving and retirees and by extension, the qualitative education .
He asserts that, the foregoing exhibits the concepts of direction of his government which will lead Oyo people to a new dawn .
He seeks the indulgence of Governor Seyi Makinde over the Saki Dual lane, appealing for the resumption of works to ameliorate the agony of the road users. He also urges the Governor to quickly intervene on the installation of new Okere of Saki that has been vacant for a very long time.
He charges him to remain focused, committed and keen to every Issue that will preside over the affairs of the people and make their lives more meaningful , saying that leaving behind a legacy of this nature should be his priority.
His statement reads :”On behalf of the sons and daughters of Saki , I want to sincerely crave this opportunity to applaud Governor Makinde’s monumental achievements within the first 100 days in office. It is very obvious that, he is using this historical opportunity to preside over the affairs of the people and make their lives better.He should concentrate on his efforts to take Oyo State to the greater high.
I , thereafter, applaud him for the prompt payment of workers salaries and retirees . I want to use this opportunity to draw his attention to the abandoned dual carriage lane of my domain, appealing on behalf of residents and citizens of the community to use his good office to ameliorate the suffering of our people .
Moreso, the vacant stool of Okere of Saki is long-awaited, I urge you in this regards. I wish you a successful tenure of office”, the statement reads.
