The Director-General of the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Barr Ayodele Adekambi has called on political appointees in the state to rally support for the continuation of the current administration’s policies and vision beyond 2027.
Adekanmbi made the call in an open letter addressed to appointees, stressing the need for proactive engagement at the grassroots to sustain the developmental strides recorded under Governor Seyi Makinde.
He noted that the present administration has made significant progress in areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and fiscal discipline, adding that these achievements must not be reversed.
According to him, appointees have a responsibility to mobilise support for like-minded successors who will uphold the principles of people-centered governance.
He warned that a disruption in leadership continuity could lead to policy inconsistencies, abandoned projects, and setbacks in the state’s growth.
Adekanmbi further urged his colleagues to move beyond passive support by engaging directly with their constituencies to educate citizens on the importance of sustaining ongoing reforms.
He emphasised that the moment demands decisive action, calling on all stakeholders to work collectively to ensure that Oyo State remains on the path of development and stability beyond the current administration.
