Atilola, Elegbede, Other Oyo East\West PDP Leaders Adopts Idayat Olorede; Assures Aspirants of an All-inclusive Administration

Today, 15th April, 2023, the notable Leaders of Oyo East and West Local Governments, Oyo State, Converged this morning in a Stakeholders meeting of Party Chairmen, Members of State Executive Committee and many Leaders of our great party to address all the Aspirants to work as a team with the Party Concesus Candidate, Hon(Mrs) Idayat Olorede Olaniyan.

In an opening speech delivered by the Party Chairman, Oyo East Local Government, Hon Sakiru Ojo, he stressed that, this meeting was summoned to form a synergy between the Party Excos, Leaders, other Aspirants and the Candidate, to ensure that, the party coast to victory in the forthcoming general elections.

Alhaji Sarafadeen Oloyo, Oyo West Party Chairman also hinted that, all other Aspirants from Oyo West have accepted Hon Idayat Olorede as the candidate and promise that, everybody will work for the success of the election.

According to the former Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Atilola Maroof Olawale, urged the candidate of the party to work closely with other Aspirants since they have accepted to work together with her and she should make sure that, the Party, members and co-aspirants are given priority in the distribution of benefit when the opportunity comes.

Alhaji Adedeji Jelili Alala described the meeting as timely and purposeful. He enjoined leaders to assist some other Aspirants that have spent hugely and worked in the mobilization for the party are given due consideration when the appointments and other benefits comes.

Alhaji Siju Salaam, the former Party Chairman opined that, this situation is not new in politics but it depends on how the leadership of the party and candidate handle the system. In view of this, this arrangement is a very brilliant step in the right direction and if all Aspirants work together with our candidate, the party will record a greater victory in the next elections.

On behalf of all the Aspirants, Barrister Biyi Santos, Mrs Salawu Tabitha, Alhaji Oyekalu Rasheed, Hon Yemi Adeyemo, Hon Ogunniyi Bolaji, Mr Ladega Ismaila & Hon Wale Ogunmola, assured the leaders that, they have accepted the outcome of the concensus arrangement that produced Hon Idayat Olorede and they honoured Governor Seyi Makinde’s style.

In her own remarks, Hon Idayat Olorede Olaniyan appreciated the leaders of the Party in the Constituency for this peaceful meeting. She promised that, all other Aspirants will be carried along because, the ticket belongs to the party. She also noted that, her campaign team will be formed with the collective decision of the Aspirants and party Excos.
