A call has gone to Iseyin local government and Oyo State government to allow each kingmaker of Aseyin to carry out his or her responsibility in the selection of new Aseyin of Iseyinland.
This was contained in a communique issued at the end of a crucial meeting held at the palace of Aseyin by the Princes and Princesses of the land under the aegis of Aseyin Royal Dynasty.
According to the communique drafted by Chairman, Prince Moriselola Adeoti, Secretary Prince Alhaji Semiu Azeez and Member Prince Bola Azeez was endorsed by the President of the Dynasty and Mogaji Ariori of Iseyinland, Prince Hamzat Adeoye and 31 other Princes and Princesses from the three Royal Families of Akando, Olugbile and Majaro, the governments were advised to appoint a Warrant Chief to replace any of the kingmakers whose conduct is thwarting the processes of having new Aseyin.
The Royal Dynasty gave kudos to kingmakers on their efforts so far made while expressing strong belief that no matter the challenges, they shall successfully produce the most competent, credible and God-chosen Prince among the 12 names submitted to them to occupy the vacant stool of Aseyin of Iseyinland.
“We call for peace and unity among our kingmakers irrespective of their stand in the selection processes so that the stool can be filled without further delay”, Aseyin Royal Dynasty said.
The Dynasty also expressed “we charge Iseyin local government with the cooperation of the kingmakers to adopt minute of their last meeting and forge ahead with the selection processes of new Aseyin and so make unnecessary delay a thing of the past”.
The Royal Dynasty enjoined the kingmakers to maintain the statuesque as left by Aseyin of Iseyinland, Late Oba Dr. Abdulganiyy Adekunle Salau pending the arrival of the new Aseyin who shall address all issues relating to not only his chiefs but other administrative and traditional arrangements of the palace.
The Princes and Princesses of Aseyin thanked stakeholders in Iseyinland for their unrelenting efforts aimed at fostering peace and unity among the kingmakers and producing another Aseyin of Iseyin.
