Young and prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Ademola Oyepeju Ara has left the Party for the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Oyo state
Oyepeju who aspired for Oyo State House of Assembly ticket under the APC from Oluyole local government’s state constituency stated that he left the party for the ruling party in the state due to lack of internal democracy, lack of trust from the desks of party Leaders and unresolved internal crisis. Also because of the APC party Leaders disloyalty to their members.
According to him, i am a core progressives and i have paid my dues as a party man but i realized that those leading us are only interested in using us as mere instrument to achieve their political goals without considering our own ambition and political future. To the best of my view and knowledge, it’s obvious that APC has no good plan for the masses. Most especially the grassroots which I’m representing in politics.
“I have checked both parties templates and all I could realized is that, this state is very safe under His Excellency. Governor Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde and what he has on ground for Oyo State is superb, we shouldn’t allow anybody to use Agodi secretariat as an experiment center this time around.
” Before the primary election i did my ground work and i was sure of Victory if freee and credible primary was conducted but to our surprise another person was imposed on us, the development which forced many party faithfuls to leave the party’
He said further that ” i was reluctant to leave the party but the attitude of the leaders shows they care less about others , also my supporters are not happy with the way they treated us so we concluded plans to leave the party and move on”
Asked why he is moving to PDP , Oyepeju who is the Chairman of Alwajeez Int. Nig. Ltd and the founder of Ara Foundation said ” PDP is relatively fair interm of organization and the governor Engineer Seyi Makinde is not doing badly,in spite of the economic and other challenges, he has achieved tremendously on infrastructural development, health sector , education and others despite all the challenges facing his government locally and the global pandemic.
If he can achieved this huge, there’s hope of doing beyond expectations if another 4 years is added to his tenure.
