The Oyo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State on the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the state’s creation, describing the Golden Jubilee as a historic milestone worthy of celebration.
In a statement signed by the State Commandant,(Amotekun Corps), Col. Olayinka Olayanju (Rtd.)., the Corps said the anniversary reflects the resilience, unity and steady progress recorded by Oyo State over the past five decades.
Amotekun noted that the Golden Jubilee is being celebrated at a time when the state is witnessing remarkable transformation under the leadership of Governor Makinde, whom it described as a committed and visionary leader.
The Agency acknowledged the governor’s achievements in areas such as civil service reforms, economic growth, urban renewal, infrastructural development, and the sustenance of peace and security, stressing that these efforts have continued to drive sustainable development across the Pacesetter State.
Reaffirming its mandate, the Amotekun Corps pledged its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, as well as the promotion of peace, safety and public order in all parts of the state.
The Corps further expressed confidence that Oyo State would continue to experience peace, development and security in the years ahead.
