Amofin Beulah Adeoye, president of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation has submitted that the best brains among the indigenes of Oyo State should deem it appropriate, contest and govern the state come 2027 gubernatorial elections instead of allowing people with questionable character and weak track records to govern the state.

Amofin Adeoye made the call while featuring on the political programme tagged “Political Circuit” hosted by Mayor Isaac Brown on Fresh105.9Fm. The legal icon said that governance is a serious business and should not be left for people who lack the full understanding governance and capacity to deliver to be in-charge.

While responding to question about rotation of governorship ticket among geo-political zones in the state, Amofin Adeoye said the agitation for power shift from Ibadan has been on for long. he stressed that move for the rotation is not a bad ideal but must be put in proper context with mutual understanding of all political class to achieve real development.

“Oke-Ogun person will be governor of Oyo State one day. The agitation will crystallise at the right time with the support of people God will use”.

While speaking about the voting strength of Ibadan, Amofin Adeoye said; ”It has not been established with facts that Ibadan has more voting strength than the Oke-Ogun zone. We must understand all regions are important and Oke-Ogun electorate has been playing a key role in determining who becomes governor of Oyo State”.
