In a statement signed on behalf of the group, the supporters said Oyetunji’s decision to leave the party had prompted them to chart a separate political course while remaining in the APM.

They, however, expressed appreciation to Oyetunji for his mentorship, leadership and guidance over the years, acknowledging his contributions to their political development.

The supporters said their decision to remain in the APM was informed by their commitment to the party’s leadership and their determination to contribute to its growth across Surulere Local Government and Oyo State.

They pledged to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures, promote unity among members, mobilise supporters and support its candidates at all levels ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The group also called on party members and supporters to remain peaceful, united and committed to building a stronger APM in the state.

“Our message is clear: Hon. Peter Oyetunji has made his political decision, and we have made ours. We remain with GSM, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye and APM,” the statement read.

The declaration was signed by Hon. Akanbi Akinola, Hon.
