Ambassador Ogunlowo Abiola-Coker, South America Representative of the Osun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In his message, Abiola-Coker described the new monarch as a man whose life story shares remarkable similarities with that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing their journeys through politics and leadership.
“Both once sat in the Senate. Both once served as Governors. Both faced struggles that could have broken them, yet they rose—one climbing patiently through 22 traditional steps until crowned the Olubadan, the other navigating the storms of politics until destiny placed him as the President of Nigeria,” he stated.
He added that their journeys are a reminder that true success requires patience, resilience, and determination.
Celebrating Oba Ladoja, Abiola-Coker prayed: “May his reign be long, peaceful, and filled with wisdom. Kabiyesi o, ki Ade pe lori o, ki irukere di okini o.”
Abiola-Coker, who also serves as the Oodua Progressive Union (South America Coordinator) and Chairman, Ibadan Entertainment Stakeholders, expressed confidence that the reign of Oba Ladoja, the Arusa I, will bring peace and progress to Ibadanland.
