Ajimobi set up taskforce to monitor ongoing projects

In his bid to ensure speedy completion and quality delivery of ongoing infrastructural projects in Oyo state, Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi set up  a  project monitoring task force.

The taskforce led by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Dr Morohunkola Thomas is expected to monitor and evaluate performance of ongoing projects in the state.

The Governor disclosed this yesterday through his Executive Assistant on Political Matters, Dr Thomas during an inspection tour of the ongoing model school projects at Oba Akinbiyi Secondary School, Mokola and Islamic High School, Bashorun in Ibadan, the state capital in company of the state commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Aderonke Makanjuola and her counterpart in the Ministry of Works and Transport, Mr Oyedele Oyetunji, among others.

The three term commissioner, Thomas noted that part of the present administration’s promise was not to leave abandoned projects, but remained committed to the betterment of the lives of the people.

He, however expressed satisfaction with the spate of progress and the quality of work on the project which is nearing completion, while warning the contractor against unnecessary delay, stressing that the project must be delivered within the stipulated time.
