Alhaji Ahmed Raji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and has donated
1500-capacity lecture theatre and a mosque Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) campus.
Alhaji Ahmed Raji has in 2021 donated staff quarters of about seven chalets and boys quarters to accommodate some of the management staff of the College.
The College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, Iseyin Campus of LAUTECH, has two Faculties: (1) Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and (2) Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, While the former is already in existence, the latter is newly created.
The contractors in charge of the projects were on the campus on Wednesday, May 31, for inspection and they were welcome by high personalities in Iseyin and LAUTECH Adhoc committees led by Hon. Olaniyi Waheed Olaniyan who presented a portion of land meant for the projects to them.
Engr Umar Muhammed, who led the team of the construction firm for the project said “we are on this sites on behalf of Alhaji Ahmed Raji, SAN so that he can contribute his own quotas to the on-going development of Iseyin Campus of LAUTECH”.
Engr Muhammed declared that they were in the city to acquire land for construction of worship facility – Mosque and a lecture theater.
He said “by the grace of God in the next few month, when you come back here, you will see that you have a mosque to worship”.
While he identified Alhaji Raji, SAN as a man of his words, Engr. Muhammed assured the management and people of Iseyin of standard works that will stand the chance of time on the two land.
