The Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria has acquired over 100, 000 hectares of land for agriculture and agro alliengageness  not only for members but Nigerians.
Speaking at the 65 annual convention of the Jama’at held in Ilaro, Ogun State on Saturday, the Amir (National President), Dr. Mashu’ud Aderenle Fashola said the aim was to banish poverty and unemployment.
He disclosed that land had been acquired in different parts of the country for the purpose of engaging i  agriculture and agro allied businesses.
According to him, members in each circuit of the organisation have directed to acquire at least 10,000 hectares of land for agricultural purposes.
“We in Ahmadiyya are ready to address the question of poverty and unemployment not only among our members but Nigerians through agriculture.
“Through agriculture and agro allied businesses, our graduates would be working and pay for their tuition fees with the aim of making them entrepreneurs.
“We don’t want to produce cultists. We want them to acquire skills that will make them employer of labour,” he added.
Fashola who noted that agriculture was the only way out of present economic challenging facing the country, disclosed that with international support many of the unemployed youths would be engagef in meaningful employment.
He said that the farm would also be part of the Jama’at university which kicks off next session.
The religious leader explained that the students would be engaged in entrepreneurial skills that would make them employer of labour rather than job seekers.
He explained that the students would be studying, working at the agro-businesses to enable them pay for their school fees.
Delivering the annual vonvention lecture with the theme: “Social, Political and Economic Emancipation Through Moral Re-orientation”, a tax consultant and deputy president (South West), Alhaji Abdul Azeez Olatoye tasked world leaders on social justice and accountability which are fundamental to the whole global peace.
He said  Islam expects from leaders in a pluralized environment year factors as panacea to political problems across the world.
According to him, the global political landscape was in disorder, adding that no regimes sleeps with their two eyes closed ani longer.
He said that from Middle East, Bereelt in reuNited Kingdom from the European Union was charging.
He added that the sit tight administration in the African continent, the.tension between the United States and North Korea that could lead to  the exterminatiom of human race on politic account was of great concern.
He added that there was general lack of peace across the globe and man was in search of political peace.
