Engr. Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem, the Mogaji of the Adanla family of Ibadan and Chief Executive Officer of Afia Group, will on Saturday, October 11, 2025, be turbaned as the Giwa Adini of Offa land.
The ceremony is scheduled to hold at the Chief Imam of Offa’s Arabic School in Offa, Kwara State.
In a letter addressed to him, the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muyideen Salman Husain, said the appointment was in recognition of Adanla’s contributions to the propagation of Islam and his service to humanity.
“The office of the Chief Imam of Offa hereby wishes to notify you that you are appointed as the Giwa Adini of Offa in recognition of your contributions toward the propagation of the words of Allah and your meritorious services to Islam and humanity at large,” the letter read in part.
Sheikh Husain described the honor as a reflection of Adanla’s steadfastness in the service of Islam and his leadership qualities within the community.
Adanla, who is also the Turaki Adinni of Oyo State, has for years been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at strengthening the Islamic faith while contributing to social and community development.
His philanthropic and leadership strides, observers say, have made him a beacon of positive change and a unifying figure among his people.
