No fewer than four people have died and several others have been injured in a tragic auto accident that occurred on Thursday evening in Ogbomoso.
The incident took place around 11 PM when an articulated vehicle carrying chemicals was involved in a solo accident on a damaged section of the road.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to National Insight news, the truck overturned while attempting to navigate a problematic area around the seminary.
The bodies of the deceased have since been returned to their families for burial, while the injured individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment.
At the time of this report, security operatives and officials from the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) were on-site to manage traffic and ensure safety. Residents of Ogbomoso, along with commuters, have voiced their concerns regarding the deplorable condition of the old Ogbomoso road, calling for urgent action from the appropriate authorities to address the hazardous situation.
