The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission.
In a statement issued on Monday, Hon. Ige described the appointment as well-deserved and a testament to Wolekanle’s unwavering dedication to grassroots development, party loyalty, and service to the people of Oyo State.
He said: “I heartily congratulate my brother and friend, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, on his new role as Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission. Hon. Ige noted that Wolekanle is a dependable team player who has consistently worked in harmony with other stakeholders to achieve common goals. He expressed confidence that Wolekanle would use his influence and leadership position to further drive and actualize Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision of inclusive governance, rural development, and improved service delivery at the grassroots.
Ige also commended Governor Makinde for the appointment, describing it as another bold step in consolidating good governance and effective leadership across all levels in the state.
Wolekanle, a prominent youth leader and philanthropist from Ogbomoso, is known for his active involvement in community development and the affairs of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.
