The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, has released the burial arrangements for its fifth President, Pastor John Dada Obafemi, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 111.

In a statement signed by Pastor Alawode Ademisoye, the Church’s Director of Publicity, the funeral programme commenced on January 16, 2025, with a Service of Songs at the late pastor’s residence in Lagos.

The events will continue on Thursday, January 23, with a Christian Wake Service scheduled for 4:00 PM at his family compound in Idoro, Isare Opin, Ekiti Local Government Area, Kwara State.

On Friday, January 24, the interment and outing services will take place at 9:00 AM at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Alaafia District Headquarters in Isare Opin.

Pastor John Dada Obafemi, a retired military officer and former Nigerian Army veteran, served as the fifth President of the CAC during a crucial period in its history. He was appointed on June 9, 1993, and played a pivotal role in uniting the Church before retiring in 1997.

The current President of CAC, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, along with other principal officers, will officiate at the burial and outing services.
