GSM Livestock Farmers Initiative to Start Distribution of Start Up Kits for Participants in Ibarapa

GSM Livestock Farmers Initiative an empowerment Program championed by Oloye Babatunde Ologburo will commence distribution of start up kits valued at over one million naira to participants.

The initiatives which was launched on Friday 15th  March,2024,at Anyx Continental Farm, Km12, Iya Ibeji Village along Oyo-Iseyin road, Oyo is part of Alhaji Ologburo’s philanthropical gesture to support the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde on youth empowerment in Agriculture.

Beneficiaries of the scheme were selected from the youths that participated in at the CSS Global Integrated Farms in Nasarawa State to train 3,300 youths.

According to Alhaji Ologburo, participants will be given a startup kit which includes 8 pregnant does, 1 young buck, improved Napiah stem cuttings for ,acre of land,Gliricidia sepium seedling for 1 acre of land valued at one million Naira.”

He added that the distribution which will start in few days will commence in Ibarapa zone in the next three weeks

The Project coordinator, Engineer Abdullateef AbdulSalaam in a chat with journalists said the does have adapted to the environment and matured so we can now be distributed to the beneficiaries

He added that” The irregular rain this year is responsible for the studded growth of the pastures that will also be given to the beneficiaries but now we are ready to give those who are fully prepared and serious about it.

“During the training he told them to prepare land for the cultivation of the grass and provide a shelter for the animals, only participants that have provided this will be giving the items and we will also provide support service to them to ensure sustainability.
