Nigeria’s foremost Yoruba Ewi exponent and activist, Alhaji Olanrewaju Adepoju is dead
Details of how he died is still scanty as at the time of filing this report but an impeccable source confirmed that he died in the morning at UMB Central Mosque, Agodi Ibadan
Adepoju who was born at Oke Pupa , Akufo in Ido local government area of Oyo state worked as a proof reader in People’s Star Press, founded by former Premier of Western Region Late Samuel Ladoke Akintola after which he moved to WNTV and WNBS
While giving an insight in how he learn and developed his talent Adepoju in an interview with Nation Newspaper, said ” I get my poetic inspirations from my father, my grandfather and other knowledgeable members of my family. They used lots of deep words and proverbs to describe so many situations and I somehow saw my family as a great school, where I was first taught use of language.”
