The above quote by the Canadian based philosopher and author, Matshona Dhliwayo could best described the mood last week when a popular society lady, Laide Lanre-Badmus was honoured by the Rotary Club of Ibadan-Oritamefa (Rotary International District 9125).
The award, tagged ‘Exemplary Role’, was presented to the highly resourceful Laide Lanre-Badmus during the 7th anniversary celebration of the Club.
According to Rotary Club of Ibadan-Oritamefa, the honour was bestowed on Laide Lanre-Badmus in recognition of her sterling contributions toward human and community development.
Other eminent personalities also awarded alongside Lanre-Badmus at the colorful event included the Orangun of Oke-Ila, HRH Oba Adedokun Abolarin; DIG Adeleye Olusola Oyebade; Prof.O.G. Arinola; Dr. Seyi Olasehinde and Richland Hotels.
Interestingly, this is the second recognition award for Laide Lanre-Badmus within a month. She was also honoured with Philantropy & Humanitarian Personality Award by the Oyo State Chapter of Asiwaju Women Co-operative Society (AWCS), in February this year.
The two awards, as well as several others to her credit, no doubt, are well deserved ones for Laide Lanre-Badmus, whose profile has consistently been on the rise and has convincingly paid her dues not only in business, but her private life and politics.
Laide, a graduate of Politics and International Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, is a founder and Principal Partner at Alice Unique Multiventures Ltd and Laide Lanre Badmus (LLB) Nig. Ltd. She is into custom-made interior designs and decoration, as well as general contracts and supply.
Laide Lanre-Badmus also holds a Diploma in Law, LLB from Leads City University. She is a Lifestyle Consultant, Public Speaker, Politician and a Philantrophist.
She is a Member, Nigeria Institute of Management; Follow, Women Leadership Network; a Follow, Institute of Personality Development & Customer Relationship Management and a Member of Nigeria Women Convener’s Movement (NWC).
Laide Lanre-Badmus’ significant imputs in politics can’t also be overlooked. She had previously served in Ondo State as a member of Rotimi Akeredolu Governorship Campaign Team in 2016; Adebayo Adelabu Campaign Team in Oyo State in 2019.
She was a Member, Presidential Support Campaign (PSC) and the Oyo State Cordinator for Buhari/Osinbajo Presidential Campaign in 2019. She is also a member of North/South APC Consultative Forum.
