Oyo Assembly Majority Leader,Council Chairmen Inspect Isolation Centre in Ogbomoso

 The Majority Leader Oyo state House of Assembly, on Sanjo Adedoyin, caretaker chairman of Ogbomoso North  Hon Ibrahim Ajagbe, Ogbomoso Hon Seun Adeyinka, Ogbomoso of  Ogbomoso Central LCDA , today inspect the Isolation center in Ogbomoso at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital  Ogbomoso

They were received by Chief Medical Director of Professor Oladimeji Opadijo, Director Inspection and prevention Control Professor Taiwo Samuel, and Director Mr Ajiferuke

The center is being prepared to house suspected victims of the novel coronal virus and other viral disease another to prevent spread and ensure close monitoring by medical personnel

Professor Opadijoin his short remark commended the state government under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde for efforts effort in preventing spread of the virus in the state

He stated that the Teaching Hospital has medical personnel that can handle the suspected case of COVID 19 but need more facilities to enhance their services

 The CMD noted that that only Lagos state can boast of better facility in its isolation centers across the nation and promised to continue to do their best in ensuring that LAUTECH TH is one of the best for place for medical tourism in the world

 He however called on the government to procure more medical equipment for the hospital to make it international standard and more functional in treatment of viral diseases like Ebola, Lassa fever and others


The majority leader, Hon Adedoyin while speaking on the purpose of inspection said it is to ascertain the level of preparedness in preventing the spread of the pandemic Corona Virus.

The lawmaker commended the management of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital and said plans are already on going to furnish the Teaching Hospital with world class equipment

He also urged the council chairmen to construct new isolation center and maintain the existing one.

Hon Seun Adeyinka when contacted on the plans for new Isolation centre said the council will collaborate with state government to put up a new isolation center soon

Adeyinka said further that ” We have embark on thorough sensitization of and distribution of materials such as gloves, nose cover, Hand Sanitizers and hand bills where they can read about the virus and how to prevent it
