2023: Traditionalists Back Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition With Special Prayer

Traditionalists (Oniseese) across Oyo State have backed the candidature of the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2023 general elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The traditionalists across all the regions in the state converged at Ilaji Hotel and Sport Resort, Akanran Ibadan said the step become necessary for the victory of the APC candidate who according to them is a leading candidate in the election.

Recall that over one thousand selected representatives of Christian groups across the state last week Saturday converged in same venue to prayed and endorsed Tinubu

Muslim faithful and their leaders in the state on 3rd of December converged at same venue to do the same.

Speaking at the event, the Aare Oniseese of Oyo State, Olukunmi Egbelade said the event was not politically motivated, saying what they are after is the peace, unity, progress and development of Yorubaland.

He noted that Yorubas would benefited alot if their kinsmen become the president, saying it’s the turn of the Yorubas to be at the helms of affairs of the nation.

He however urged Tinubu to declared a nationwide holiday for the traditional worshippers across the nation after his emergence.

In his remark, Chief Kazeem Omotosho said there should not be any set back for Yorubas in the forthcoming elections, adding that Yorubas holds strategic position in Nigerias politics.

“Some people believe we are not educated, they say we don’t know God, but we believe in God than them, none of the pastor’s or the Muslim clerics didn’t pass through us.”

Speaking on behalf of of Sanusi, Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade said the motive behind the event was to show love and support the APC candidate who is a leading candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

He said Sanusi’s is not s politicians nor veying for any political post, adding that he is just business man and a phillantropist who always use his resources to cater for the need of the society.

“He is not a member of PDP nor APC, he is passionate about whatever that will lead to the progress and development of Yorubaland.”

“We have the problem of insecurity. We have the problem of unemployment. We have leadership problem and many more. The Muhammadu Buhari is concluding his administration. We cannot say he hasn’t done anything. He has done his best. In the next couple of months, we will do another election.

The need for us to choose wisely brought us here today. I have researched the credentials of the major candidates and without being immodest, I like to tell you Asiwaju stands tall.”

Other traditional dignitraries at the event are Araba Awo of Ibadanland, Chief Odegbami Ifalere, head of Eleegun in Ibadanland, Chief Oyeniyi Okugbaja, Iya Sango of the world, Chief Mrs Odeleye, and representative of Oluawo of Oyo, Adejare Ifadare among others.
