There are clear indication that Senator Gbenga Babalola, will declare his intention to contest for governor in 2019

The Iseyin born former Federal lawmaker and his team have been consulting elders and stakeholders in politics for some time now

A close source told our reporter that  Babalola who is married to late Adedibu’s daughter is contesting under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP

He represented Oyo North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly between 2007-2011  and while at the Senate he was a member of committee  on Works, Public Accounts, Millennium Development Goals, Land Transport, Ethics & Petition and Agriculture
