Communications minister Barrister Adebayo Shittu on Sunday said the Peoples Democratic Party PDP should bury the thought of taking over the mantle of leadership from the ruling All progressives party Nigeria 2019:
Shittu a lawyer from Oyo state said the government of the PDP failed in all sector when they were in power and will not have a taste of power again because president Buhari led APC government is rebuilding the structures and reviving what they have destroyed with.
The Saki born legal luminary while addressing hundreds of leader and executive members of APC at Egbeda Local government at the council Secretariat said PDP move is laughable because they have no moral justification to campaign against APC when it comes to development
Speaking on his aspiration is to be Ajimobi’s successor as the governor of Oyo state in 2019,Shittu said he will initiate and implement programs that will have positive impact on the masses
‘ By God’s grace I am taking over from Governor Ajumobi. My government will mark new dawn, I initiate policies that will promote qualitative education, good health care delivery , create employment opportunity for younger generations and economic advancement for the state ‘
He thanked the people for the confidence reposed in him and President Muhamadu Buhari led government in Nigeria and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in APC and the government.
The minister however promise a donation of a bus for the party and 3 boreholes for communities in the local government.
In his welcome address,Elder Olu Opawale APC chairman Egbeda local government commended the minister for his commitment and promise not to relent in their support for the Muhammad Buhari led government y in the country.
Also at the meeting were leaders of the party, including comrade Bolomope former member House of Assembly, caretaker chairman of Ajorosun local government and Ajorosun LCDA among others.
